Microwave Cavity Needed Repair Due to Arcing, Peeling, or Scorching

Microwave Cavity Needed Repair Due to Arcing, Peeling, or Scorching

Using the term “arcing” to describe sparks within the Microwave is a common practice. These can be caused when metal or foil touches the interior of the Microwave, or by using metal utensils in the Microwave. You should always read your Owner’s Manual before using your Microwave. Microwaves can be damaged by excessive arcing.

Hole In The Microwave Interior

The damage to the microwave cavity wall is irreparable. It’s best to stop using it if you find a hole. The microwave can cause a hole by arcing. This may lead to additional arcing when it is used. It is recommended that you replace the microwave if it has a hole. The performance of a microwave is not affected by minor surface scratches.

Interior Coating or Paint Peeling or Flaking

The Microwave should be replaced if it is damaged. The Microwave can’t be repaired. The coating on our Microwaves has been selected for safe food contact. It meets both our requirements and those of the applicable governments. Our Microwave Ovens do not use any lead or toxic materials in the cavity coating. Small amounts of peeling paint that are accidentally consumed do not pose a risk to health. We do not have a repair method approved for scratches, chips or burns to the interior coating.
